Intro
The NDIS helps eligible people with disability access supports to reach their goals. One important document for participants and providers is the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (previously known as the Price Guide). The NDIA updates these arrangements regularly — most recently for the 2025–26 period — and they explain how price limits are set and why they matter for participants and providers. NDIS+1
What the pricing arrangements are (in simple terms)
- The Pricing Arrangements set the maximum prices providers can claim for many supports. They do not replace the individual decisions in your plan, but they help ensure transparency and “value for money” in how supports are costed. NDIS
- Price limits are updated through an annual review process and reflect factors such as workforce costs and sector changes. If you or your plan manager are budgeting supports, it’s useful to check the current arrangements so you know how providers are likely to charge. NDIS
What this means for participants
- Your plan funds the supports that are included as “reasonable and necessary.” The pricing arrangements help you and providers understand how much those supports may cost.
- If a support is above a listed price limit, a provider should clearly explain any additional fees and whether the extra cost will be charged to the participant. Always ask for a written quote before agreeing to paid supports.
Practical tips
- Ask your planner or plan manager to confirm whether an item is covered in your plan.
- Request quotes in writing if a provider says charges may be higher than the price limit.
- Check the NDIA website for the most recent Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits — the NDIA publishes official updates and PDFs for each pricing year. NDIS+1
